Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
Preheat oven to 300˚ F
Makes 28-32 cookies
Preparation time 15 minutes
Cooking time: 22 minutes
Total time: 37 minutes
(2 1/2) cups unbleached flour
(1/2) tsp. baking soda
(1/2) tsp. salt
(1) cup dark brown sugar
(1/2) cup sugar
(1) cup butter
(2) eggs
(2) tsp. vanilla
(2) cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 300˚ F. Place flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl and mix. Set aside. Place brown sugar, white sugar and softened butter in a mixing bowl and mix until blended. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until almost smooth. Mixture should be a little grainy. Add the dry ingredients and chocolate chips and mix until combined. Using a cookie scoop, portion out dough on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 22 minutes and cool on a rack.
Note: The key to this recipe is not over mixing the dough. The dough can be chilled and then baked.
