Spaghetti & Meatballs

Ingredients
Serves 4-6 - Time 1 Hour

Sauce
(1) large onion diced
(2) cloves garlic minced or crushed for sauce
(1) 28 oz cans whole tomatoes
(1) 12 oz cans tomato paste
(1) 28 oz cans of water
(1) tbls sugar
(1) tbls oregano
(1) tbls Italian Seasoning
(1) tbls parmesan cheese
salt & pepper to taste
Meatballs
(1 1/2) lbs ground beef
(2) cloves garlic crushed for meatballs
(3) slices of white bread, dried & made into crumbs
(1) tbls fresh parsley finely chopped
(1) tsp salt
(1/4) tsp pepper

In a large dutch oven brown onions, garlic & seasoning in 2 tbls of olive oil and sauté for 3-5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients cook on low heat very slowly, stirring often.
As the sauce is cooking, mix together the ground beef, crushed garlic cloves, bread crumbs, parsley, salt and pepper. Form meat into 1” - 1 1/2” balls and drop them into the sauce. Cook about 40 minutes on low heat stirring carefully. The sauce will achieve a deep red color as the cooking finishes. Serve over cooked spaghetti and top with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
