Teriyaki Steak & Vegetable Skewers

Ingredients
Serves 4-6 - Preparation time 30 minutes
(Marinate 1 day in advance)
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Grill medium high

Steak & Marinade
(3) lbs flank steaks
(1/4) cup soy sauce
(2) cloves crushed garlic
(1/2) tsp ground pepper
(1/2) tsp ground ginger
(1) tsp brown sugar
(2) tsps sesame seeds
(6) green onions, thinly sliced

Vegetable Skewers
(1) can pineapple chunks
(2) green bell peppers, cubed
(1) red onion, cubed
(12-16) bamboo skewers - soaked in water 1 hour before use

Place steak in a large ziplock bag with marinade and keep refrigerated. Grill on a medium high setting, searing both sides until steak reaches a temperature of 130°-140°F for medium rare, 140°-150°F for medium, and 150°-160°F for medium well. When grilled to desired temperature, place steak on a cutting board and cover for 15 minutes. Slice steak cross grain and serve with skewers and jasmine rice.
For skewers, alternate cubed green bell peppers, red onion, and pineapple. Fill skewers as desired and grill at same temperature until vegetables soften.
